When you visit the Royal priory of Cassan you will discover one of the most beautiful historic buildings in the Languedoc-Rousillon area.
You will, we are sure, be impressed with the work we are undertaking to the preserve and renovate the Chateau and its grounds.
The current owner of this historic building regards himself as the custodian of this piece of the cultural heritage of Languedoc Rousillon region. To fulfil his ambitious mission he would both like to share and enjoy the Chateau with you and also to stimulate and support a range of activities to bring life back to Cassan.
The memorandum of the association of «des Amis du Prieuré Royal de Cassan» (friends of the Royal Abbey of Cassan - 1901 association)
enables to Association to engage in a range of activities to preserve, safeguard, and renovate the property including the neglected gardens.
The aims include:
- The protection of the environment and the preservation of the aesthetic and architectural qualities of the area.
- The promotion of the cultural life of the site with a range of events from theatre to music.
- Spreading knowledge of the priory within the region, in France, in Europe and around the world.
You can help by joining the association of Friends to:
- Give much needed moral support to all those involved in its restoration,
- Be involved in the many activities planned for the Abbey,
- Help us in our project to preserve and renovate this historic monument,
